CONNECTING AND COLLECTING: September 17th is INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEANUP DAY - a promise to bring cleanliness and purity to our natural surroundings while spreading awareness about protecting our oceans.
This year, thirty NCP team members marked the day with an 8:00am coastal cleanup at “Stokes Beach” in Yamacraw. We hauled in a whopping 34 bags of garbage in an hour and a half!
The team also ran into Anwar Rolle, a.k.a. Captain Bahamas the New Environmental Superhero, a young environmental pioneer who was also cleaning the beach with his sister Aaliyah Rolle and mother, Elaine Rolle.
Special thanks to the hardworking team at Bahamas Waste for taking all that garbage off our hands and the Elizabeth Estates branch of the Royal Bahamas Police Force for supporting our efforts.
Spread the word about this annual event and do your part to protect our planet!
