Part-Time Guest Experience Concierge
Tens of thousands of guests visit Nassau Cruise Port daily. Our Brand Ambassadors are often the first team members that our passengers meet, and as such, they present the first impression of Nassau Cruise Port and a first and last impression of the Islands of The Bahamas.
These team members should embody professionalism, impressing our guests with their customer service skills and strong desire to make visiting Nassau and navigating the cruise port an easy, enjoyable, and memorable experience. They share our spirit of service, our key brand messages, and our fun-loving, Authentically Bahamian personality with visitors from around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a brand ambassador for all port visitors
- Prioritize port safety and cleanliness
- Welcome cruise ship passengers and other port visitors
- Assist guests with directions, answer questions, provide information and solutions as needed
- Share reliable and accurate information about the port, downtown, Nassau, and The Bahamas with guests
- Assist with on-site management of tenant promotions, marketing and PR events, entertainment, and other similar activities
- Work with port partners and vendors
- Provide comprehensive tours of Nassau Cruise Port upon request
- Collaborate with Security, Health and Safety, Facilities, and other relevant NCP teams to manage any visitor and port issues
- Support the delivery of the port advertising program as requested
- Complete data entry tasks
- Train other employees in customer service
- Report any customer service or other issues to leadership
- Perform additional duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE:
Requirements:
- Conversational English skills
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 BGCSE exams completed
- Hospitality/Tourism Management certificate or degree (preferred)
- Basic computer skills
Working Conditions:
- Lift, carry, and move items
- Work outdoors
- Adaptable to all weather conditions
- Extensive walking and standing
- Successful candidates will work on a rotating schedule that may include weekends
Qualifications:
- Bahama Host Certificate
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Some knowledge of Bahamian tours, history, and attractions required
- Cruise industry experience a plus
- Second language a plus (specifically Spanish)
EXPERIENCE:
Type of Entry Experience Required:
- Minimum of two years of guest service experience
- Hospitality industry experience a plus
