OHSE Emergency Response Coordinator
Schedule: 40 hours/week (flexible hours aligned with peak operations)

- Emergency Response & Medical Coordination – Be the on-site medical first responder for employees, contractors, and guests; administer first aid, CPR, AED, and trauma care; maintain emergency supplies; conduct training drills.
- Safety Leadership – Conduct risk assessments, lead toolbox talks, investigate incidents, ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and national regulations.
- Environmental Care – Support waste management, recycling programs, environmental KPIs, and sustainability reporting.
- Collaboration – Work cross-functionally to enhance safety culture and preparedness across all port operations.
- 1–2+ years’ experience in OHSE, ideally in maritime, port operations, or logistics.
- CPR/AED Instructor Certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
- EMT/Paramedic certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, emergency response, and environmental policies.
- Strong leadership, attention to detail, and calm decision-making in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HSE reporting systems.
- Valid driver’s license (for operating the port tram as needed).
- Outdoor Work: Significant time will be spent outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 30 lbs as needed.
- Office Work: Regular computer use for reporting, documentation, and communications.
- Active Response: Immediate response to on-site medical and safety incidents as required.
- Dynamic Environment: Must adapt to a fast-paced, high-traffic operational port environment.
HSE & Emergency Response Officer

As our HSE & Emergency Response Officer, you won’t just be the first on scene during an emergency—you’ll be at the heart of shaping a world-class safety environment. This dual-role opportunity merges hands-on medical response with proactive leadership in health, safety, and environmental sustainability.
You’ll champion emergency preparedness, lead CPR & AED trainings, partner with Security and Operations, and play a key role in strengthening our compliance, crisis readiness, and safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
Emergency Medical Response
- Lead all on-site emergency interventions with speed and professionalism
- Administer first aid, CPR, and pre-hospital emergency care
- Coordinate with external emergency medical providers for escalated incidents
- Maintain medical kits and post-incident reports in compliance with safety protocols
- Train and mentor NCP’s internal first responders
Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Support
- Conduct risk assessments and lead safety investigations
- Implement safety and evacuation policies aligned with OSHA and industry standards
- Collaborate with our OHSE team to foster best practices and safety innovation
- Promote sustainability awareness and environmental initiatives across departments
Integrated Coordination
- Liaise closely with the Security Department during drills and real-time incidents
- Maintain an up-to-date emergency escalation protocol
- Support cross-departmental training and onboarding in emergency preparedness
What We’re Looking For
- Certified and licensed Paramedic or EMT (mandatory)
- CPR & AED Instructor certification (required)
- Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (preferred)
- Strong understanding of OSHA, workplace safety, and risk mitigation
- Experience in high-traffic environments such as maritime or transportation sectors
- Proven training, reporting, and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational demands

Working Conditions
- This role involves both indoor and outdoor duties, regardless of weather conditions
- Must be physically able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
- Regular bending, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and navigating uneven terrain is required
- Will be exposed to loud noises, heat, and other conditions common to a port or industrial setting
- Must be able to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations
